This add-in allows you to activate or deactivate, and add or remove startup items so you can better manage Excels startup load. This operates in a manner similar to the add-in dialog box.

Extract the folder from the attached zip file, if you have macros enabled a Workbook_Open procedure installs "Startup Manager" when you open the workbook.

A non-auto installing version of the "Extra Tools" startup is included (pls read next post) as a demo. After installing the Start Up Manager, go to "Tools" and click "Startups..." and use the startup manager to browse for "Extra Tools" and install it as a startup item... ohmy.gif) ("Extra Tools" Requires Office 2000 or higher)

Bugs Fixed Details:
Version 1.05: Rectifies an error that occurs in v1.04 when, during a work-session the user goes to Windows > Unhide and closes an active workbook and then, later on in the same work-session, decides to use Startup Manager to either deactivate or remove the workbook without first opting to reopen it.

Version 1.06: Rectifies a 'Subscript Out Of Range' error that may arise on some platforms either on installation or on opening a workbook.
Explanation: Some platforms require you to treat the 'Tools' control as a "Command Bar" in its own right, while some treat it as a control that must be drilled down to from the Command Bar "Worksheet Menu Bar". Version 1.06 caters for both of these possibilities.

Version 3.0: This is generally a complete Install/Reinstall work-over to remove bugs. The attachment contains both an XLS and XLA version of the file.

If you don't already have Startup Manager installed you can use either version.

If you already have Startup Manager installed and intend to use the XLA version, you will have to manually remove the older version first, but there are no such issues if you use the XLS version.

(Downloads of earlier versions = 23)

My apologies - I just noticed that after the last update I forgot to include the non-auto installing version of the "Extra Tools" as mentioned above - attached below
